Quick Cantor studies

I visited the Cantor Arts Center in Stanford today with my kids, we only had about an hour before it closed so I made two quick 20-30 minute studies.

Vesuvius from Posillipo by Moonlight by Joseph Wright

A google search seems to indicate that there are several versions painted by JW, interesting!

"Portrait of Marie Antoinette",bronze, by FĂ©lix Lecomte

I might re-do this one the next time I visit.

Both are created using Clover Paint on a Galaxy Note 10.1

Vermeer Master Study

I finished my first Master Study, Vermeer's "Girl with Pearl Earring" whoo hoo!

It is far from perfect, but it is a good start, and I need to move on.  Amazing how much can be learned by copying a master painting!

Created using Photoshop CS5 and a Cintiq.

My Fantasy Illustration class with Craig Elliot starts tomorrow, I am so looking forward to it.
